If you have not entered your 3rd party integration key into Sage then Decorus will only have a limited connection to Sage. You will be able to view financial data but not post transactions. If you attempt to post transactions you will be met with an error message saying that Decorus is unable to connect to Sage.
To activate third party integration or ‘Sage Data Object’,
log into Sage and go to ‘Tools’ – ‘Activation’ – ‘Enable 3rd Party
Integration’.
The next window will prompt you to enter a serial number and
key (This is NOT the key that came with your Sage software), for this
you must call sage on the number provided on the screen, 0845 111 5555, and ask
them for the ‘3rd Party Activation Key’, which must be entered here.
This will allow Sage and Decorus to communicate. Alternatively you can find your 3rd part integration key here -
You will need to do this on each PC running Sage.
Alternatively, you can enter the 3rd party
activation serial number and activation key within the Decorus software.
Click the Spanner icon on the top toolbar for configuration
settings.
Click the
‘Register 3rd party’ button in the company settings.
Check the
Sage version is set to the correct version number.
Enter the
Serial number and Activation key that Sage have provided.
We also have
the Download SDK button, which is for the advanced user, to setup Decorus on a
PC that does not have Sage installed. It allows Decorus to still communicate
with your Sage data.
