Maintenance Check in Sage

It is advisable to check your data in Sage regularly for any errors or warnings.

Click on ‘File’ and from the drop down menu, select ‘Maintenance’

A new window will appear, click ‘Yes’


In the next window, select ‘Check Data’

In the next window, select ‘Check Data’

It will then bring a new window up which will show you if there are any Errors, Warnings or Comments

 

Click on ‘Recovery Tools’ – it will then prompt you to back-up your data, do this as you would normally

Click on ‘Recovery Tools’ – it will then prompt you to back-up your data, do this as you would normally

When the back-up is complete a new window will display, in here click on each icon in turn and it will run through a check

After each process has completed it will display a window telling you this, click ‘OK’

Once all processes are complete, click ‘Close’ and a new window will appear, click ‘Yes’

This then brings up the check complete window. Click ‘OK’

This brings up the ‘File Maintenance Problems Report’ window. This should now have no Errors, Warnings or Comments displayed, now click ‘Close’
