This function is used when money is owed to the tenant, i.e. deposit. In
the ‘Tenancy’ module, click on ‘Tenancy Refund’
This will bring up the ‘Tenant Refund’ window. Click on
the ‘Address Book’ icon against ‘Account ref’ to bring the contact list up or
select from the ‘Drop down’ list. This will then bring up the ‘Contact List’
window
Choose your contact from the list by clicking on the line
once to highlight it in blue and click ‘Select Contact’
This will then bring up the ‘Tenant Refund’ window and
will list the transactions against that contact
Check ‘Bank Details’ are correct and enter ‘Date’ and ‘Reference’ and this is what will
appear on bank reconciliation
Click ‘Pay in Full’ and it will allocate amount against
transaction
Click ‘Post Receipt’
You will then get the following message – Click ‘Yes’
If using the
Agent version, and the transaction is charged onto the Landlord, the ‘Clear
Receipt’ window will appear with an ‘SI’ transaction to add to the statement.
