Tenancy Activation - Landlord Version

 

- Go to the 'Tenancy' module.

- Double click on the pending tenancy you wish activate. 

- If a window appears saying 'Do you wish to set the status to ACTIVATE and raise any due charges' click 'No'.

 

For expired tenancies only; you will see the window below (expired tenancy information window) click 'OK'. Select accordingly on the next window: 'Yes' if the tenancy is extended on periodic basis, 'No' if the tenancy is extended on another fixed term, select 'No' and overtype 'END' of tenancy date. 

 

- if all the information in the tenancy window is correct, select 'Change Status'.

- In the 'Change the Status of the Current Agreement' window, 'Change to Active' is preselected s oyou just need to confirm this by selecting 'Change Status'.

- Click 'Yes' to the following window.

- The next window is the 'Charging Schedule', this is the most important window for future tenancy transactions. Accuracy and correct information/settings at the point is essential.

- Under the rent tab three are 3 options:

1. New Tenancy (if the tenancy is new) - this will automatically tick 'Raise Deposit Charge'.

2 Opening Balance (if the tenancy has an opening balance when you moved from your old system).

3. Continue with Sage financial activity or existing tenancy (if it is not a new tenancy and with no opening)

 

If your tenant requires an invoice, tick 'Tenant Requires an Invoice'.

 

When you are happy with all the information click 'Create'.
