In the ‘Property’ module ‘Double click’ any property to open the property details
screen, and from here go into the ‘Management’ tab (bottom bar)
You can also
use the ‘Notes’ tab to add any additional information if required
You also have the choice to use the ‘Renew’ button, which
will reset the dates a year in advance if you want to update this in
Decorus. It also gives you the option to
attach any documentation to this particular policy by clicking on ‘Attach’,
these documents will now be saved in ‘Documents’ under the ‘Journal’ tab. Once
you are happy with the information you have inputted you can ‘Save’ the policy
or ‘Cancel’ to cancel any changes. When you have saved the information the
policy will show in the insurance tab and appear in ‘Insurance Renewals’ (in
the overview screen). When it is due to expire (dependent on what your default
setting for expiring policies is, this will appear for example 30 days before
due)
Clicking the provider button will
allow you to select the contact in relation to the insurance policy, if the
provider is not on the list you can add them as a contact if desired.
Contact type
Although the provider will have a contact type i.e. supplier
or landlord for example you can give them a unique type in this screen. To do
this you can simply add the type of contact they are.
Policy type
You can also select the policy type, for example the
insurance may only cover contents or building, or it may cover both. You can
also add any additional types if required.
Premium
This will allow you to enter the cost of the insurance
policy.
Cover start/Cover End
You can enter the start and end date of the policy, if
entered this will also flag up on the expiring insurance policy (Insurance
Renewals) on the overview screen when the policy is coming to the end date.
Buildings/Contents/ Stock cover
If required you can enter the breakdown of the cover per
policy, for example – you may have covered Buildings up to £100,000, Contents
up to £5,000 and Stock up to £10,000
