To activate deferred income please click on the ‘Configure Spanner’
Then double click into the company
Go to the ‘Company nominals’ tab then tick the “Use Deferred Income” box and enter the nominal you want to use.
You can then create your tenancies (or recreate the schedule for existing tenancies). Click on ‘New Tenancy’ then select the tenant.
Then select the property.
Once all the information is correct including rent, deposit, start date, term etc you will then need to activate the tenancy by clicking on ‘Change Status’ and clicking ‘Activate’.
This will automatically prompt you to create a schedule. Make sure all the details are correct and click ‘Create’.
If you then click into the created items it will show you that it has been deferred and the dates the transactions will occur.
You will then need to go to the ‘Finance’ tab and click on ‘Transfer Deferred’.
You can post transactions in advance. Click on ‘Transfer’.
If you then go to the ‘Sage Audit’ tab it will show you all the transactions that have occurred.
