Adding a New Property (Agent Version)

Click on the ‘Property’ Module in top tool bar, and then choose ‘New Property’

The following window will appear

 

Fill in all the details property no/name, address – ‘Sage Department’ (highlighted in the picture) is automatically assigned every time you create a new property - when you get to the ‘Ownership’ tab (highlighted in the picture) click on it and the following window will appear -


In this window you have the option to choose ‘Owned’ by you or ‘Managed’ for a Landlord

  • If ‘Owned’ by you – click on ‘Owned’ box, then click ‘Done’

· If ‘Managed’ for a Landlord – click in ‘Managed’ box, then click ‘New Owner’ – another box will appear for you to add landlord


Click on the little address book (highlighted in the picture above), then the following window will appear





If you have an existing contact, highlight them and click ‘Select Contact’

 

If this is a ‘New Contact’ – click ‘New Contact’

which will bring up a new window.



Fill in the details by tabbing through from ‘Account Ref’ (this will create a/c ref), make sure ‘Landlord’ is ticked (highlighted in picture), then click ‘Save & Exit’ – now highlight this from the contact list and click ‘Select Contact’ (as previously instructed) – this will then bring you back to the ‘Ownership’ box, make sure the correct Landlord has been chosen – click ‘Save and Exit’ – you will now see the information has been inserted.

 

Click ‘Done’ and the Landlord will now be attached to that property.




 

Finish filling in the rest of the information, marketing information, finance information (target rent & target deposit are the values which you wish to remarket at not the current rent value/target rent & deposit for ‘Multi Let’ is the total for the whole building not individual rooms/unit) – ‘Let Type’ you will have 2 options

· Professional – is for residential or commercial properties rented as a whole

· Multi Let – if the property is a number of flats/rooms within one property, or separate commercial units

If you choose ‘Multi Let’ an additional box will pop up –

 

 *Enter the amount of rooms in the property*

When you ‘Save & Exit’ from the screen (top left tab) the following window will appear




 

From here you can add ‘New Room’ – ‘Edit Room’ or ‘Delete Room’, when you have completed, click ‘Exit’ and it will bring you out of the ‘Property Record’ and you will now see that the new property has been added to Decorus


 Go back into the property by ‘double clicking’ it, you will see the rooms now appear like this  

 

If you click on this, it will bring the window up with each room where you can ‘add new/edit or delete’
